GLeo 3 This product was purchased for the ability to move a piece in small increments. However, this particular vise doesn't move smoothly and accurately. For the price is it okay, but for higher precision work it is not well made. There is also a lot of metal burrs that can cut you if you are not paying attention. There is also a film coating of machinist oil and greases that haven't been cleaned off and when you touch the handles the smell of metal and greases gets on your skin. I had to handle this tool with gloves because I didn't like the chemicals getting on me. The handles are not sturdy and the accompanying set screw is not strong nor easy to install. The metal working / casting is pretty poor quality and would need a lot more refinement to be something suitable to keep in my shop. The portion that grips the work piece was not well made as it was very crooked and the actual metal pads were not clean nor straight. Gripping a work piece was not nice as the pressure was uneven on the material causing an impression on one side of the work piece when it was tightened down. I can't say that I can recommend this product for the professional, but perhaps it is better for the amateur. Even then it would be dangerous to keep in your shop as it is pretty sharp along the casted edges.
